Boutique and Unique - Vintage Living, Baslow, Derbyshire

Vintage Living in Baslow is a real find.  Owner Sarah Copley began a life long interest in antiques at a very early age, unsurprisingly since both her grandmother and mother were in the business. She deals in original distressed and decorative painted furniture, sourcing stock from England, France and Europe.

      

Sarah's trained with Ann Maurice the House Doctor so has a wealth of experience to help you with your interior design. Her amazing shop is full of lovely furniture and accessories dressed cleverly so you could simply transport the it straight into your house.

    

And if you want more than just a bit of inspiration, Sarah is going to start running courses that will help you to  style your home and work with colour.

Truly Scrumptious - Hackwood Farm, Shop and Tearooms, Derbyshire

We love good farm shops and this one in Radbourne, Derbyshire, is another great find.

Hackwood Farm Shop & Cafe opened in 2011 and sources produce from traditional local suppliers.  Their butchery is run in partnership with award winning Owen Taylor Sons.

    

And their cafe serves freshly prepared daily specials including breakfast snacks, light lunches and afternoon teas, again using locally sourced ingredients from the farm shop and other trusted suppliers. 

This Spring they are opening a small children's farm giving children the opportunity to see, hear and smell farm animals and understand where their food comes from.
